Going Green

    Did you know that one family throws away over 4,000 pounds of garbage a year? That doesn't include how much ends up on the high way. Here's ways we can prevent that from happening.

   Limit you're car usages. Cars pollute the air so if we limit how much we use the car to not very often we may get cleaner air. Bike. If you are not going a very long ways like to your friend's house who may live a few streets away, then bike or walk there instead of asking your parents to drive you there. Get a ride. If you do have to go a long ways, then try to catch a ride with someone who is going where you are going. Plant a tree. If you're worried about the air then you should know that trees help the air a lot so plant a tree if you care.  

Use the three R's whenever you can. The three R's are reduce, reuse, and recycle. You can REDUCE by using less of things that you don't necessarily need that take up energy, like TV. You can REUSE a paper, plastic or any kind of bag. You can RECYCLE anything that has revolving arrows around a number on the bottom of it. 

You can also help by giving homes to animals even it you cannot have them yourself. You can hold an auction to sell stray animals that need a home. What to do with the money? You should give it to an animal shelter so they can care for even more animals. Or you can give the money to a charity that helps endangered or injured animals.

You can make a difference. Just use some of the ideas here, or think of some other creative ways to help our planet and it's animals.
