April 6 Update

Good afternoon, Loon Lake Families,

As you have perhaps already heard, the Governor held a press conference just a few moments ago where he has extended the statewide school closure through the end of the school year.

While this is hugely disappointing for all of us, this decision was made with all of our safety in mind.   The situation seems very unreal, and I’m not sure any of us could have imagined this reality back when we started this school year.  But one thing I know about the Loon Lake community, from working with our students and families for the past 7 years, is that we are tough.  Our kids are resilient.  Our families are strong.  Our community is in this together.  And this too shall pass.

As we move forward, we at the Loon Lake School District will continue serve you to the best of our abilities.  We will keep food coming to you and we will continue to find ways to keep learning going.   We will keep in touch.  We will be here if you need us.

For now, take this time to hold your family close.  I will be back in touch soon.

Take good care –
