Wednesday, February 4, 2026 - Ski & Skate Reminders

Hello Loon Lake Families,

We are looking forward to our first ski and skate day tomorrow!  Here are few reminders.

First for our skiers:

• Please be on time, the bus leaves right after 9:00.

• Remember to dress appropriately – Wear a coat that zips up, gloves that repel water, and one pair of socks.

• Ski equipment cannot be transported on the bus ride to school.  Please plan on dropping any equipment off separately.

• And finally, remember there is no bus ride home when we get back.  Please plan on being at the school parking lot at 5:15 for pick up.

And for our skaters:

• We will be at Pattison’s from about 12:00 to 1:45. Parents are welcome to meet us there!

• Remember money can be spent at the snack bar, but not for video games or toy and candy machines.

Friday, January 9. 2026 - Snow Make-Up Day - February 17, 2026

Just a quick note today regarding our calendar - We will now have school on Tuesday, February 17th in order to make up for the day we had to close due to weather (December 17th).

Wednesday, December 17, 2025 - School Closure

Loon Lake School District is now closed for the day, Wednesday, December 17th.

We are getting reports of downed trees and unsafe roads, as well as widespread power outages.  

Out of an abundance of caution, Loon Lake School District is closed today.  No buses will be running, including those to our neighboring districts.  

Please stay safe out there!

Wednesday, December 17, 2025 - 2 Hour Delay

Loon Lake School District will be running 2 hours late today, Wednesday, December 17th, due to inclement weather.  All buses will run 2 hours late, including buses for students who live in our community but attend school outside of our district.
